Hi, The friends of Bob and Gayla Roberts
are asking for your help. We need to help them raise money, or
get supplies for goat shelters. Let me tell you a little about
them...
When Bob and Gayla went into goat
farming, they were recovering from a catastrophic fire that
destroyed there business and totally wiped them out financially.
Luckily for them a dear elderly Lady
friend put up a modular home on her land next to her own home she
than offered it and 5 acres of pasture to them with affordable rent.
In return, all she asked was that they remain there and look after
her until she passed away....She had no one else.
As they got better at raising goats the
herd increased. With over 25 adults, and the law only allows 25 on
there acreage. So, they rented other pastures that they could
afford. Bob and Gayla live on the proceeds of the goats and a small
social security check.
The one pasture -- the key one - came
with a barn . It also had a rented home on it. When the tenants
moved recently, it was rented to new people, and they want the barn
and pasture for their horses. This left Bob and Gayla just 30 days
to move their animals out.
This all means new pasture and shelter
is needed in order for them to keep their animals. If they can't do
this, they will be forced to sell off most of their livestock at
basement prices and they would have to abandon their hopes and
dreams .
Now pasture is available, but is has no
housing or shelter, nor does it have fences for the goats. This will
all have to be built. All of this costs money which they don't
have. Now the other alternative is to abandon the elder women,
and break the promise they made to her, and move to a place they can
afford. But being the kind of people they are, they would rather
give up their Hopes and Dreams rather than to forsake a friend that
helped them.
This is where we come in. They are
proud independent people, and it did some talking just to get them
to accept our offer of help. Even now, they insist that anyone so
inclined can declare a cash donation a loan, and they vow to repay
it as soon as they can.
These are truly honest and wonderful
people who now need a little of our help to keep their Hopes and
Dreams alive. Please won't you help us to help them...
