I would like to ask your help in helping
one of our youth members to achieve her goal of going to China on a
Mission with her church. She is very close to earning her expenses but
needs a little more help.
The youth I am speaking of, is
Evangeline Kemper of Lebanon, Or.. She is very active in her 4H goat
group, her church, and her family. She is one of the first to dive in
and help out at the shows.......I know this first hand!!!!!
This Mission means alot to her. She has
worked very hard to earn what she has collected already......car
washes, bake sales, baby-sitting, BBQs, etc..
The Mission will be teaching English to
a school in Shanghai. These students are the future leaders,
politicians, and business people of China. The relationships the youth
form with their Chinese counterparts will help to strengthen future
dealings between the two countries as well as gives the kids the
opportunity to share their faith with the very curious and open
Chinese.Many have been so excited to become Christians and receive
their Bibles. China is still a pretty closed country when it comes to
Religion and only allows State Churches. There are many underground.
So in closing I am hoping that you can
be encouraged to support Evangeline a little........not asking for
huge donations........every little bit will add up. It is so good to
see our youth doing something besides drugs, alcohol, and getting
into trouble. This trip is very important to her.

Funds need to be received by June 30th
as they leave the first week of July.
